Sugar Hill Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of Feast of the Hunters' Moon, the debut album from Portland, Oregon-based Black Prairie. Featuring three-fifths of The Decemberists and two of the city's finest folk stylists, the heavily acoustic debut was produced by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie) and embodies the rich sonic landscape of the Portland music scene while integrating the diverse backgrounds of its members. As described by dobroist Chris Funk, the band's sound "bridges the music of Clarence White and Ennio Morricone" in a way that defies genre characterization.

来自美国俄勒冈州Portland的「黑色草原Black Prairie」，由独立摇滚乐界，最具文学素养乐团压轴乐团「压轴乐团The Decemberists」当中的Jenny Conlee （主唱／键盘手／手风琴）以及灵魂人物Chris Funk（吉他手／主唱）领军，协同Jon Neufeld（吉他手／主唱）、Nate Query（大提琴／空心贝斯／主唱）、Annalisa Tornfel t（小提琴／主唱）所组成。这个由五位擅长演奏各种乐器的音乐人，所集结成的梦幻组合，一现身马上被蓝草音乐Bluegrass优质厂牌Sugar Hill相中签入旗下，迫不及待在2010迈向春天之际，推出野心勃勃的首张专辑《Feast Of The Hunters' Moon》。
就在很久很久以前，北美印地安的猎人们，都会趁著明月高掛的时候，在清爽明朗的秋天夜晚外出狩猎，为即将到来的冬天做储备粮食的準备。所以印地安人称十月时分的满月为「猎人之月Hunter's Moon」，而每年秋天在印第安纳州的历史公园里面，都会举办为期两天的「Feast of The Hunter's Moon」庆典，重现十八世纪时期，每年初秋在Wabash River河畔法国人与美国原住民的这个交易盛会。而「猎人之月」就像一场盛大的主题园游会，无论是在这里设摊做生意，或是来参加盛会的当地人，都会将自己打扮成十八世纪原住民模样，可说是非常有趣！Black Prairie的首张专辑，就将这个概念作为创作主轴，将专辑命名为《月夜盛宴Feast Of The Hunters' Moon》，并找来葛莱美奖提名独立乐界知名制作人Tucker Martine（R.E.M.、Sufjan Steven、The Decemberists、Death Cab for Cutie、Bill Frisell）无私跨刀。悠扬的乐音引领著你我一同到来，〈Across The Black Prairie〉宛如一部电影的主题曲、瀟洒自在；所有配器彷彿拥有生命一般，跟随著歌者的呼吸起伏、协同著心跳声摆盪，〈Red Rocking Chair〉将民谣歌曲展现出犹如协奏曲般的动人格局；情绪高涨的悸动充满四周，〈Ostinato Del Caminito〉漫延著浓厚的异国情调，这首单曲有著戏剧化的演出；随著飘盪的风琴声，还有触动心弦的吉他拨动，〈A Prairie Musette〉兀自跳著寂寞的圆舞曲，十分唯美动人；在异常慵懒的口吻之下，〈Crooked Little Heart〉咀嚼著情绪的各种滋味，是专辑中极为出色的一首单曲；灵巧的步伐曼妙地挪移，〈Tango Oscuro〉随著音符在跳著探戈，让你目不转睛的闭眼聆听；哀伤感受矇矓著夜空，〈Full Moon In June〉在月光下将思念化成无声仰望；〈Blackest Crow〉虽然有著异於常态的音乐样貌，但却意外地展现出美丽的飞舞姿态。Black Prairie以实验性十足的民谣乐音为根基，加上各类奇异元素，带来13首令人耳目一新的创作。
