Nine Left Dead began in 1999 when guitarist, now lead vocalist, Travis Jones started the band, under the name Harmful if Swallowed, in Amber, OK. Travis explains "I never really chose to play music, it was a coping mechanism to deal with life and discovering myself that turned into an addiction. You always want to do something to change peoples lives and help them, it just turned out that while using my music to deal with life myself, it also helped other people who listened to it as well." In 2008, while both working as prison guards at a maximum-security penitentiary, Jones met Jared Ellis. He joined on as the bands bass player and soon after, they changed their name to NINE LEFT DEAD. "The name change was for the good," said Travis. "It gave us what felt like a fresh start or a new beginning." In July 2010, lead guitarist Kreg Anthony and Rhythm guitarist Nathan Parish joined NLD, soon followed by drummer Bryan Whitley completing the five-piece's sound. In April 2010, Nine Left Dead won the Rock U Live Kattfest Band Beatdown in Oklahoma City, beating out over 100 other bands competing for the win. As part of the prize package, the band received the honors of being one of the first bands to record at Bar Code Studios, owned by multi-platinum Hinder drummer and songwriter Cody Hanson. On May 4, 2010, the band independently released the single "Put Your Guns Down" co-written and produced by Hanson and Marshal Dutton. The single quickly picked up radio play and drew major label attention. Within a month of winning the contest, the band had been signed to C-Squared Management and had signed their first major recording contract with DirtBag/ILG/Warner Music Group. With the help of producers Hanson and Dutton, Nine Left Dead is an up tempo hard rock sound with aggressive and driving guitars, pounding drums and lyrics that everyone can relate to. With an unbreakable chemistry, Nine Left Dead brings an action packed show every night leaving it all out there on the stage for the fans. "That's what this is all about." Says Jones. "We're here to kick ass for the people that come out to support us!" [size=5][color=Red][b]我最喜欢的Post-Grunge代表乐队之一 -- “Hinder”推荐的新乐队“9 Left Dead ”。这张专辑能听到他们在追寻Hinder的曲风，做的还行，只是主唱在唱功和嗓音方面跟Austin有差距~由Hinder的鼓手Cody Hanson录制。
