Stone Sour, the Gold-certified, Grammy-nominated rock band, presents their fourth album, The House of Gold And Bones. The two disc CD set is a concept album that brings questions of mortality with someone at the crossroads of his life. Part One is available October 2012, followed by Part Two in 2013.
The band recorded the album at Sound Farm Studios just outside of their native Des Moines, Iowa with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Staind).
House of Gold & Bones - Part 1 is the fourth studio album by American rock band Stone Sour, and is the first part of a double concept album. The album is set for release on October 22, 2012, in the United Kingdom and October 23, 2012, in the United States. It was recorded simultaneously with House of Gold & Bones - Part 2, which is set for release in early 2013. It is the first Stone Sour album without bass player Shawn Economaki, who left the band in 2012.
Stone Sour started making the album in March and Corey Taylor stated that the album might end up being a double album or concept album. Taylor has also described that musically album will be like Pink Floyd's The Wall meets Alice in Chains's Dirt. It was also revealed that bassist Shawn Economaki is no longer in the band and his studio replacement was Rachel Bolan from Skid Row.
On August 24, 2012, Stone Sour released both "Gone Sovereign" and "Absolute Zero". On October 11, 2012, the band release a music video for "Gone Sovereign".[/quote]
