「Rumours」專輯發行於1977年2月26日。此專輯裡推出過4首前10名暢銷單曲"Go Your Own Way"、"Don’t Stop"、"You Make Loving Fun"以及唯一的冠軍曲"Dreams"。佛利伍麥克的歌曲大多談及感情，這張專輯尤其明顯，因為它發行之時正值團員McVie夫妻、Buckingham和Nicks甚至鼓手Mick與其女友的男女關係都出現危機，所以Rumours」一推出，還有人預測他們即將解散，不料這些在現實愛情生活最低潮時期寫出的歌曲卻集結成為該團的代表作。「Rumours」不但在Billboard的專輯榜上總共蟬聯31週王座，理所當然也得到年終冠軍專輯，同時獲頒該年度葛萊美獎最佳專輯。
