不知道这次算不算是对歌迷的一种应付，发行3张专辑之后The Vines也跟风式的在今年推出了他们的精选，乐队的首张专辑Highly Evolved打出了一场漂亮的Debut，不仅在自己的故乡澳洲，就连在英国也是红的发紫（不过我更喜欢06年的Vision Valley，因为从这张迹象来看，The Vines已经大量容入了Britpop的元素）一切顿时让The Vines带上了明星的光环，并且得到许多音乐杂志的厚爱，频繁亮相于封面。而他们的崛起又带来一个颇为敏感的话题，就是他们能否延续Nirvana的精神。不过至少我从乐队身上看到了鲜明的叛逆和玩世不恭。而我又是极度迷恋Vines的奔放，以及多变的吉他riff，当然还有那种振奋人心，一听便有敲打，猛锤吉他的呐喊力量始终在心理作祟。对于抒情曲风，The Vines同样也毫不含糊，只可惜我比较喜欢的那首Take me Back并没有收录到这张精选中。但是这张整体确实算是Vines至尽比较完整的心路旅程。深受六十年代车库朋克影响的他们是否被夸大还不能说，但从现在的趋势来看，The Vines逐渐已经慢慢逐渐开始建立起自己的庞大势力群了。PS：从标签资料来看，应该不是CD版本，而是某些Fans根据曲目自己制作的这张合集，但质量非常不错。
