With true R&B on the verge of extinction, along comes its savior, Chrishan. With his soulful voice, catchy melodies and impressive writing style, his undeniable talent is by far one-of-a-kind.
With the number 1 selling success of the singer/songwriter/producer whom label execs hail as "the future," Chrishan has catapulted himself in the mainstream like a rocket with no intention of slowing down. Compared to Ne-Yo & The Dream mainly due to his versatility, writing skill and production quality, he has made a major impact on the sound of tomorrow. Chrishan is currently in the studio putting the final touches on his first full-length major debut. Collaborating with producers such as The Agency, Syience, & Young Bishop has proved to be a big payoff in more ways than one.
"It wasn't about the music for me," Chrishan admits, "I could've been fine with a full album of slow songs because thats what my fans know me for." But yet again he has suprised all of us with a mixture of everything from uptempo club music to passionate love ballads. "Whatcha Gon' Do" introduces the fun, young-at-heart side of Chrishan with a catchy hook and beat.
In late 2007 Chrishan captured the hearts of all teenage girls around the country with his smash-single "2 Late 4 Us," but this year Chrishan follows up and supersedes the rest with the amazing "That's My Word." Beautiful arrangements with a consistent heartfelt passion make this song the hit of the century. "This is by far my favorite on the album," Chrishan admits, "I knew it was a hit when I pieced together the chorus in my head."
Chrishan showcases his smooth & sexy side in the slow jam "Love Songs." With a likeness to The-Dream, Chrishan heats it up with a sure-fire ballad about none other than: making love. "I wanted something different, but catchy," he says, "I heard the track and immediately started thinking about the sounds girls make."
Anyone close to Chrishan can attest to his growth as a singer and an individual. "It's almost like with every song he does, he gets better & better," says Delmar Powell, TVT Records.
"I feel like my career is on the up & up," Chrishan says, "...and I don't see an end to it."
