SECOND ALBUM "SONGS FOR THE FALLEN APART"
"This is our "Born to Run". The vision behind the album was as if Phil Spector would have produced the E Street Band. On speed!" Anton Annersand, lead vocalist of Swedish epic pop thrashsters Molotov Jive, is quite euphoric about the bands second album. He of course SHOULD be. And he OUGHT to be considering the fact that the album is a drastic improvement on the bands debut effort of 2006.
The first album was a strong first collection of teen angst ridden songs in the pop/punk/beat tradition. The new album - to be relased in their native Sweden January 2009 - is presented in a much larger framework. The 12 songs are in parts the results of Bruce Springsteen or later days The Clash becoming more important rule models to the band than, say, The Libertines. The end of a long Annersand relationship also meant a lot for a more "lyrical" Molotov Jive Anton Annersand continues: "Somewhere on a German autobahn in the end of all that arrived the idea of a BIG ALBUM, with epic, but still trashy songs about everything we've been through." "Songs For The Fallen Apart" was recorded in 2007/2008 in-between heavy touring. Molotov Jive is one of few Swedish pop acts of this era that on a steady basis tours Europe.
In all more than 60 gigs over the last 18 months. In especially Germany, but also Austria, Switzerland, England and Spain. On their own or as tour support to UK acts including The Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, Dirty Pretty Things, The Enemy, The Coral and fellow Swedes Sugrplum Fairy. This has resultated in literally hundreds of thousands of hits on MySpace and other net communities. "Songs For The Fallen Apart" was recorded live in an analogue studio by Tom Hakava (Of Montreal, Shout out Louds, First Floor Power) and mixed by Henrik Edenhed (Iggy Pop, Robyn, The Perishers). Songs for the fallen apart. Now put together on an album that will change not only the lives of the band members.
