Release Notes:

Birmingham, England's space-pop heroes Broadcast lost two key
members shortly after their first two albums. One of them,
guitarist Tim Felton who bailed after 2003's amazing Ha Ha
Sound, went on to form the budding Seeland with Tim Bainbridge
(ex-Plone). I ordered their first two singles a while back
from Duophonic and wasn't really moved either way. Then I ran
into some news on the Broadcast forum stating that Seeland had
a new single out ("Library") and a debut full-length scheduled
for March, 2009.

The new stuff is very cool; heavily influenced by their
previous outfits yet different enough to merit leaving two of
Warp's electronic/pop staples. "Turnaround" sounds like
Kraftwerk covering OMD, "Captured' is bouncy and uplifting a
la Belle & Sebastian/Stereolab, and the infectious synths on
"Goodbye" is like a re-imagined Magnetic Fields. If I had an
indie label of my own I'd jump at the opportunity to release
this in America.
