[quote][align=center][b][color=Silver]Canadian rock act Age of Daze searched far and wide to find the right people for their latest recording project- literally. The band's sophomore album was conceived and recorded from one end of the country, to the other. "We're a genuine east coast band. We all grew up in New Brunswick and we all live here, but I don't think we fit the east coast music model per se," surmises bassist Matt McLaughlin. "Not that there's anything wrong with that, its just that we are not what people expect in an east coast band ." One listen to AOD's latest CD "Hollywood Ending" will affirm that statement. Leaning more towards the polished hard rock sounds of Three Days Grace and Hinder than the roots oriented sound that defines the regional music scene, the band has no problem admitting their desire for success outside the region. "We've always had bigger goals for the band," explains vocalist Tim Morrison. "You have to aim high and work towards those goals. We've decided that this is what we want to do, and we are going to do it, no matter what." This determination led the band to Toronto's Pocket Studios and Our Lady Peace founder Mike Turner in the fall of 2005. Turner produced the band's first self-titled EP, a recording that yielded three national radio singles, including the band's Top 75 song "Fuel". "I think the success of the first record, convinced us that we were on the right track," continues Morrison. "It also forced us to learn more about the music business, where we were completely self-managed and financed." The success of the EP also earned the band opening spots for Collective Soul and Juno-nominated rockers Hedley
