         對於Marvin Gaye應該不用多做介紹.在他專輯中我最喜愛的就是"Let's Get It On - 讓我們來XX -".深夜裡點上個蠟燭.配上紅酒.耳邊傳來Marvin Gaye性感靈騷到不行的聲音.真是一大享受.其中又更特別喜愛"If I Should Die Tonight".歌曲一開始的瞬間"Oh, If I should die tonight...".就完全被吸引去了(這首歌不曾收錄在任何一張精選裡頭).這類型的情慾歌曲.到現在我都還沒發現第二個男歌手能詮釋的如此完美.
         Marvin Gaye's 1973 album, Let's Get It On, is a marvel of sexual blandishment every bit the artistic equal of, say, John Donne's best seduction poems. The difference, though, is that the poetry here isn't in the verse--which gets a trifle clichéd--but in the supple pulse of the grooves and in the aching need of Gaye's sensual voice. The marvelous title track, a No. 1 hit, riffs on the earlier hook of Gaye's "What's Going On" to reach a more primal climax, and everything else here--a steamy swirl of sax, strings, and backing voices--is sexy, beautiful, and simply sublime.

"What's Going On?" 與 "Let’s Get It On" 幾乎是 Marvin Gaye 最重要的兩張專輯,不過卻有著不同的風格, "What’s Going On?" 偏向於時事,社會與政治層面, "Let’s Get It On" 卻傾向於情感的抒發.個人比較喜歡後者啦~ em112
