[Poland] Ania Wyszkoni-Pan I Pani (2009) [Pop/Rock]

Ania Wyszkoni was born on 21 July 1980 in Tworków (one of the city in
Silesia) – singer, author of the lyrics, vocalist of the band Lzy
(Tears). Her music carrier was started as she was a child, she sang to
empty tin of deodorant or the vacuum cleaner. The biggest success has
come as she joined to the band Lzy in 1996. In the same year they
recorded two songs which were released on the demo tape. This song made
that Ania jointly with Lzy appeared in local radio stations. First big
awards were given to Ania on The Vocal Festival in Wyszków. The debut
album entitled just “Slonce” (The sun) was released in 1998. Commercial
carrier was started as they got Grand Prix in Festival Gamma in 1999.
During this festival she was noticed by Elzbieta Skretkowska and then
she was invited to well known TV program Szansa na Sukces. In March
2000 singing Myslowitz’s song “Dlugosc Dzwieku Samotnosci” she won main
awards in this tv show, in the same year she gained also title of best
singer in ”Po-Graj” festival.

In 2001 the second album of Lzy entitled just “W zwiazku z samotnoscia”
was released. Huge commercial success of this album was reached thanks
to songs “Agnieszka” and “Narcyz” the songs became an national success,
earning platinum sales and going to number one in the Poland (over 150
thousands copies of this album were sold). Ania Wyszkoni’s success had
made her notable in the music industry as well as the fourth Lzy album
“Nie czekaj na Jutro” was released. After receiving the biggest Polish
award in Festival Of Polish Song In Opole for the song ‘Oczy szeroko
zamkniete” which became one of the biggest Lzy’s hit, Ania started to
appear on the covers of the magazines and also in the media. Sales of
the fourth album gained over 80, 000 it gave at last the platinum
album. In January 2004 Lzy got second notice in Polish elimination in
the Eurovision contest and also second position in the biggest Polish
plebiscite “Telekamery2004”. During Festival in Opole Lzy got two
prestigious awards “SuperJedynki”. They won in the categories: “best
band” and “best hit”: “Oczy szeroko zamkniete” In the same year and in
the same categories the readers of teenagers magazines awarded Lzy two
”mikrofony popcornu”
In 2006 Ania jointly with her band celebrated 10 years of existence
their band. On the occasion they released compilation of best their
songs „The Best Of 1996-2006” on this album was enclosed also new song
“Gdybys byl” and first Lzy Dvd showing the biggest events during ten
years of their existence. <br><br>
Ania Wyszkoni is one of the most popular pop rock singers in the Poland
(in 2005 she was in the top the ranking Wirtualna Polska in this
category). Along with Adam Konkol she is co-composer and lyric writer
of the most songs of Lzy. She’s also (first and foremost) mother of six
years old Tobiasz, who is the apple in her eye. <br><br>
In 2008 Ania Wyszkoni featured at recording song entitled “Soft” from
band Video and it has become one of the greatest hits of the year and
been played on radio charts for over 6 months. Ania has also performed
with Video at Sopot Festival (of TVN television) contending for the
“Bursztynowy Słowik” award. <br><br>
In march 2009 a compilation of greatest hits by Łzy (“The Best Of
1996-2006”) reached Platinum! On 29 th of June first solo album of Ania
Wyszkoni entitled “Pan i Pani” has came up. This full-length album is
promoted by single “Czy ten Pan i Pani”. With this song Ania has been
prized with Silver Premiere during “Premiery” concert at 46 th Krajowy
Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej in Opole (the biggest music festival in
Poland). During the same festival Ania has got Journalists and
