Guy Theodore Sebastian (born October 26, 1981) is an Australian singer-songwriter and winner of the first Australian Idol TV talent competition quest in 2003. Since winning the competition, he has released three top five albums and seven top twenty singles and has sold over a million albums and singles in Australia alone. He has also had substantial success overseas with number one hits in New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore.

In August 2007, Guy Sebastian recorded a tribute album of soul classics at Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN with many of the original Stax music band members, including Duck Dunn, Lester Snell, and Steve Cropper (who is also serving as producer on the recording).It will be released in November 9, 2007. Also, tour dates have been announced for March 2008, with tickets going on sale November 12.

The new album is a collection of original songs influenced by the experience of The Memphis album, and Guy’s love of classic soul and R&B music.  On the album he has collaborated with David Ryan Harris(John Mayer, Mariah Carey, Neville Brothers) and John Mayer lends his prowess playing guitar and singing BV’s on a number of tracks.
