The boys worked Û
Û feverishly, their incessant work ethic the direct Û
Û cause of better opportunities. Speaking of Û
Û opportunities, Juke Kartel front-man Toby Rand saw Û
Û one in Rockstar: Supernova, the 2006 CBS vocal Û
Û competition whose winner would be the new singer Û
Û for a dashing roster including ex-Guns 'N Roses Û
Û guitarist Gilby Clarke, ex-Metallica bassist Jason Û
Û Newsted, and longtime Motley Crue drum legend Û
Û Tommy Lee. So Toby Rand departed Juke Kartel and Û
Û their Melbourne, Australia stompin' ground and Û
Û bolted across the pond. Ultimately Rand did not Û
Û win the grand prize, however his pseudo-modest Û
Û third place finish provided Toby Rand and his Û
Û bandmates with the bait they needed to start Û
Û luring in bigger audiences, as well as bigger Û
Û names interested in helping Juke Kartel. Rand Û
Û returned to the U.S. the following year, this time Û
Û with the other four members of his band. Juke Û
Û Kartel completed a series of North American tour Û
Û dates before shipping back to their home down Û
Û under; fame awaited the quintet upon their Û
Û arrival, as Juke Kartel rocked the stages at both Û
Û the 2007 Astra Awards and the 2007 Australian MTV Û
Û Video Awards. Despite facing a multitude of Û
Û glitches along the way, Juke Kartel finally Û
Û secured a label home, inking with Australia?s own Û
Û Emporium Music. From there, the gents decided to Û
Û relocate to the United States permanently, their Û
Û first stop Seattle where they met the producer of Û
Û the sessions, Rick Parashar (Nickelback, Pearl Û
Û Jam). On April 3, 2009, Juke Kartel unveiled Û
Û 'Nowhere Left to Hide', their debut full length Û
Û opus. Û
Û Û
Û www.jukekartel.com Û
² ²
± ±
° 1. Save Me 3:44 °
° 2.
