2004年的3月乐队发表他们的首张单曲《Thru The Glass》（05年的一月这张单曲再版发行）。之后第二张单曲唱片《Do No Wrong》的发表可以算作成功的后继，但第三张单曲唱片《into the fire》的发表才算是为thirteen senses的发展彻底铺平了道路。《into the fire》也成为thirteen senses目前最红的热门单曲。紧随其后正式发表的专辑《the invitation》虽然已有大部分作品提前在单曲唱片中曝光，使专辑缺乏神秘感，但在12首曲目中，除了提到的《into the fire》一气呵成以及《Thru The Glass》跌宕起伏外,《gone》里的假声漂亮而经典，《the salt wound routine》中的钢琴理性而认真。
