I had some tough experiences on Idol, but the one thing it did for me was solidify God’s call on my life to minister through music. I am very blessed and excited to be completing my debut album; an album for which the mission is clear!”A Beautiful Life, brings to the forefront why Rich is one of the brightest new talents in the CCM industry, showcasing not only his amazing vocal abilities but also his remarkable talents as a songwriter. Through emotionally charged, spiritually provoking and beautifully poetic lyrics in tracks such as “Taste and See”, and “Take Us Away”, Rich creates a connection with his own experiences and his faith, leading those who listen to a place of worship and intimacy. Rich elaborates, “I know I need to relay my words and thoughts to people so that they can see and hear God’s grace and beauty. Hopefully, there is something I can share that will move them closer to the Lord in their own walk.”Rich grew up in the heartland of the US in the small town of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He began his musical career as a worship leader and singer, and has since grown into a seasoned musician and writer as well. “All of the musical growth is great, and I have worked hard at that”, adds Rich, “but most importantly I want to grow as a follower of Christ. It is essential for God to be our focus, and if I am able to use my gifts to influence others to recognize that, then I believe this is my life’s calling!”
