1999年, 美国佛罗里达州奥兰多的LFO (Lyte Funkie Ones)推出一支榜首歌曲"Summer Girls"。"New Kids on the Block had a bunch of hits" , "Chinese food makes me sick" ——这句歌词不仅让世人对LFO乐队的直白产生深刻印象，立时成为流行文化的表率，而且这些新鲜的面孔和那种随意自嘲的微笑都让人难以忘怀。
LFO的新作《Life Is Good》保持了这支三人小组的一贯风格，将流行、摇滚和hip-hop相互杂糅。乐队的主唱兼词作者Rich Cronin与他的两个伙伴Brad Fischetti 、Devin Lima全心唱歌，自从他们的首张专辑起就把制作工作全部交给Underground Productions 的Brad Young和Dow Brain，后来又交给了Kenny Giola和Sheppard二重唱组合。而LFO则以他们的顽皮和挖苦的语言抓住了年轻人的心。
专辑的首支单曲 "Every Other Time"轻松而时髦，用Blink-182似的词曲风格回顾着课堂上窃窃私语的时代，“舞会前我们分了手/你对人说我是个同性恋”。虽然《Life Is Good》保持了基本一贯的风格，但仍有几首作品风格突出让人耳目一新。
"6 Minutes"一曲颇让人困惑，一会儿用可爱的口吻唱到“有时我想自己是布拉德.皮特这样的人/她就径直走来说‘嘿，咱们分手’”，忽而激情的演义“我想她舔着嘴唇时我就爆掉了”。"Erase Her"则就象Depeche Mode的歌一样相当简单。快节奏的吉他、多部声乐和晦涩的歌词打破了一切青年流行音乐的定式。
尽管这些歌手都已到了二十五、六岁的年纪，早就脱离了高中的生活，但他们顽皮讽刺的言语却紧紧抓住了青年时代的点点滴滴。而他们的聪颖才智和谦逊行为也远非是他们身处的这个浮躁环境所能展示和这张最新专辑所能传递表达出来的。
