Biography:
珍梦海生于纽约长岛的音乐世家，毕业于曼哈顿音乐学校。1998年在塞隆尼斯孟克爵士歌唱比赛中，以20岁学生身份勇夺亚军，而此届冠军是素有爵士神话之称，罹患癌症仍能在舞台上搏命演唱的泰莉颂顿（Teri Thornton），因此传媒一致认为珍梦海实是虽败犹荣。完成学业后，珍梦海立刻被唱片公司网罗出片，2000年发行的首张专辑《Never Never Land》，在Billboard告示牌爵士榜连续蝉连52周Top10，隔年发行《Come Dream With Me》专辑，第一周进榜即夺下冠军宝座，并蝉连达13周之久。而第三张专辑《In The Sun》发行首周也顺利进驻爵士榜Top 2。她的第四张专辑《Live at the Rainbow Room》在2003年10月发行，在CD发行的同时配以DVD发行。其第五张专辑《Taking a Chance on Love》于2004年9月推出，在发行的第一周，专辑就蹿升到传统爵士排行榜的榜首并且进入流行音乐榜单的TOP100。专辑中的”Somewhere over the rainbow”被收录于电影《Sky Captain》 and《 the World of Tomorrow》中。 珍梦海被美国媒体昵称为爵士乐界的美国甜心，她外表甜美酷似性感美艳版的诺拉琼丝，纤合度的实力派唱腔比美芭芭拉史翠珊，而醉人韵味被誉为继埃拉费兹杰罗之后最美的爵士女声！《时代》杂志曾以一个字来形容珍梦海：Everything！虽然是简洁的一个字，却将珍梦海的优点表露无遗。因为除了拥有甜美可人的外表之外，她宽广富延展性的磁性嗓音，不仅可以感性低吟，更可以像资深爵士歌手一般来即兴演唱。（转自谷歌音乐）
