廿二年前的《22 世紀殺人網絡》，是上世紀末驚世之作，叫好叫座，成為 Cyberpunk 科幻經典之一，接着拍了兩部續集。久別之後，這系列有了第四集，雖然時移世易，當年三部曲導演華曹斯基兄弟甚至都已變性，做了姊妹，新作仍然引起影迷期望。

《22 世紀殺人網絡：復活次元 (The Matrix Resurrections) 》不再同胞拍檔，今次由姊姊蘭娜華曹斯基 (Lana Wachowski, 變性前是 Larry) 導演，亦是編劇之一。奇洛李維斯 (Keanu Reeves) 再做主角，話說他打回原形，是《殺人網絡》電腦遊戲的設計師 Thomas Anderson ，遊戲中的男奇俠 Neo 就是這個宅男自己的化身。至於女奇俠 Trinity ，原來是他常在咖啡店見到的暗戀女子，仍由舊作女主角 Carrie-Anne Moss 飾演，現已變為有夫有兒女的中年師奶....
