繼2013年的「Playing the Orchestra」演唱會之後，音樂大師坂本龍一翌年再與東京愛樂交響樂團舉辦「Playing the Orchestra 2014」。本作收錄2014年4月舉行的東京公演，坂本龍一擔任鋼琴演奏和全曲指揮，聯同全編制交響樂團現場演奏了他的代表作、YMO的作品、電影音樂等多采多姿的樂曲。
此版本收錄巡迴中的Best Take選曲。
